Fabulous day, dollies! J
It’s time for a fresh post! Just this week, I read Rachelle
Daniel’s post on the ZC Blogger’s Group Page which influenced some of my
purchase decisions particularly in the cosmetics department. The post was about
the hazards of beauty cosmetics, the ingredients used to process sky-high
priced make-ups such as LancĂ´me and other famous international brands. To read more, you can click THIS.
However, I’ve read the post a little too late, just as the
Jojo’s song goes. Hehe. I already made some purchases that are impossible to
revoke. I just purchased a new lippie, a cheek blush and a palette of eye
shadows and all the others are brushes. I want to get mt money’s worth out of
the items I bought so yeah...here are some of my buys:
(1)
Maybelline Watershine Lipstick
(2)
Ever Bilena Lip Brush
(3)
Ever Bilena Powder Brush
(4)
Ever Bilena Cheek Blush in Honest
(5)
Maybelline Diamond Eyestudio Palette
Let's SWATCH this!
First on my list is Maybelline’s Watershine Pure. Oh my! I
only have good words for this. This is my favorite of all lippies! I love that it’s
moisturizing and it gives your lips a gloss like you’ve been drinking water.
Hence, the name. J I
will definitely buy another one in a different shade!
Another product I bought was the EB Lip Brush. I brought one
because I felt the need to. There is a big difference between just applying
lipstick or any lip product with and without a lip brush. With a brush, you are
able to create clean lines and avoid making it messy. With this lip brush though,
I am not totally satisfied with the performance. The brush is just a little too
stiff and it doesn’t acquire much of the lip product no matter how much I try.
I guess I’ll have to buy another one of this from other brands.
Next, is still an item from EB which is the Powder Brush
which doubles as a cheek blush brush --talk about multi-tasking! As opposed to
the lip brush, I like this better. When in contact with skin, it’s not stiff
nor rough, just the right touch. I love it already! J The downside is that it’s
synthetic and it has a case of what some women suffer from ---falling hair!
Still from Ever Bilena (Oh I’m such a fan!), is their Cheek
Blush in Honest. I always love applying blush on my face; it gives a pop of
color to my cheeks and puts an end to an otherwise dull look. I love how this
particular product comes in a compact, sleek black packaging. Not only does it come with its own blush
brush, it also has a small round mirror attached to it! Now, talk about
complete! The shade is just right for me considering my complexion but I only
use moderate amounts of the product – clown face is so not the trend right now!
Last but never the least is Maybelline’s Diamond Eyestudio
Palette in Copper. Now, this product is an absolute must-have. You can create a
lot of looks using this palette and it comes off in a shimmery finish too! It’s
highly pigmented and it stays longer on the lids than most eyeshadows. The
packaging is also chic and comes with a double-ended sponge applicator! At the
back of the palette is an easy step-by-step manual to achieve glamorous eye
looks.
There is no question about my love for make-up because it
enhances my facial features and brings out some of my valued assets. But yeah,
like it or not, some of them may cause a lot of negative effects to body
particularly to the skin, like the post I read so I’m going to stick to organic
brands from now on. I brought recently some products from Human <3 Nature. I
will do a review soon. For now, this is all I’ve got.

The Ever Bilena Cheek Blush looks very pretty! I've never had one before. Is it pigmented? I wanna try it out long before but I have sensitive skin so I'm scared I might break out from it. However, because of your review, I feel like getting one already! Heehee!:P
ReplyDeleteIt is pigmented, jen :) I just bought it last Monday and I've been using it ever since. So far, I haven't had breakouts considering that my skin is also super sensitive to cosmetics :)
