There are times when you are up all night trying to think of
doing something productive when sleep doesn’t come to you. So welcome aboard
matey! We’re on the same ship. As a result, I came up with this post. Check it out:
I was scanning through pages of old teen magazines at home
when I came across an article with the header “Darling DIY Charms”, the article
is obviously about easy steps to creating your very own accessories. This made
me think of one thing: I’ve been doing that for quite some time when I stopped
due to my responsibilities at work. Believe it or not, I have first-hand
knowledge on creating my own style of necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Well,
it’s not like Algorithm or any difficult subject for that matter, it’s almost a
breeze (well, it helps that you don’t have shaky hands and it doesn’t hurt to
have 20/20 vision either).

Name of my Accessory Line :p |
I stopped creating accessories November of last year. I
started learning when I was a sophomore in high school. My mom taught me the drill
and pretty soon I was doing it all by myself already. I even sold some to my
classmates who were into accessories. But then as I progressed into high
school, I began to stray since I was technically too busy with studies (RSHS is
tough ya know!). Back when I was still working with ABS-CBN, we had a segment
which featured DIY Accessories and this awakened the passion in me again. Let
me share some photos of some of the accessories I created:

Proudly handmade accessory set :) |
As you can see, my accessories are largely composed of
colorful beads and gemstones. Basically, you’ll need some metal locks, dividers
and some strings to hold them all together. I got my materials from a local
store where they sell all the materials at affordable prices. I even bought an
organizer with little compartments for the tiny beads and other tiny materials
(yes, some beads are the size of a sesame seed so it helps that you have 20/20
vision).

I make sets color-coordinated. Hehe :) This set's called Ocean Bliss. |
My accessory line was called Sofisticada and I started to sell some to
my friends and acquaintances but since I have to do all the orders myself (and
balancing my full-time job at that!) I just had to take a breather!

I still have some materials left though for
accessory-making. Tell you what, check back next week for some easy
tutorial and tips on how to make accessories! Would you like that? And maybe a
giveaway would do well too. :) Leave a comment, dolls, it never fails to make
me smile like this ^________^
PS: Check back on April 09, 2012 for a very SPECIAL announcement! :))
