Let’s face it, make-up can totally produce a big difference
when it comes to beauty. It enhances the different winning features that we
have and adds a lot more drama to our otherwise dull look and that’s mainly the
reason why I love them. It never hurts that it boosts our confidence too.
I’ve already provided some quick and easy tips for achieving perfect lashes.
While that is essential, it’s also important to add some splash of color onto
the apples of our cheeks thus the need for blushers. If you have naturally rosy
cheeks, you’re lucky! But if you don’t, then read on for products you can try
to give some natural-like flush to your cheeks!
ELF Blushes - If you
want to go for sun-goddess type of look, you might want to try these two shades
of blush from ELF. Aside from their affordability, they are of good quality!
[1] Candid Coral
It gives off a really beautiful glow to
your skin. It has gold iridescence which offers a really sophisticated, boho
glow. However, you might want to apply a number of swipes to achieve a nice
result since it’s not that pigmented. You will love its small sized packaging
that comes with a mirror too! It lasts long as well so you won’t need a lot of
touch-ups.
[2] Gotta Glow
Since both blushers are in cake form, usage
becomes a lot easier – saving you from mess. Now, this shade is cream-like with
gold iridescence as well. It’s not your usual pinkish/brownish blusher, I don’t
think this will pass for contouring too. It gives your skin a shimmery effect,
highlighting your cheekbones. It might also pass as an eye shadow.
How much do they cost? PHP200.00
Useful tips
to achieve the natural cheek flush:
>>Determine
what color matches your cheeks – especially when you flush. SO how do you
achieve this? Spank your cheeks and see what color come off. Just be sure to do
this when no one’s watching. Or you can base it on the color of your lips.
Rose, olive and peach looks gorgeous on fair-skinned women while apricot and
red works great with dark-skinned ladies.
>>After
choosing the right color, the right type is next. For oily and combo-skinned
women, you’ll fare well with powder type of blush. For dry skin, you’d better
go with cream while liquid and gel also works well with oily skin. We all tried
on stains but remember that it will work really well if you have
well-moisturized skin because tints tend to really dry fast.
>>This
next step is something that I try all the time – I smile! This helps me
determine where the apples of my cheeks are and that’s where I dab my blush
brush. Tapping the excess first – you wouldn't want your blush to look like a
clown’s right? Just apply enough to make it look natural.
