Ombre Nails Tutorial

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

Hello lovelies! It's time for another edition of Kai Learns to Craft. It's actually been a very long time since I last posted a tutorial on this blog. I'm really excited about this one because I've getting requests from my readers to do a tutorial for the Ombre Nails. I've posted a couple of photos of my nails on Instagram and I guess it's time to share the steps! [Follow me on IG? @kaigrafia]. I'll make this easy for you, I took some photos at home with the help of my sister. By the way, please excuse my not-so-pretty hands. HAHAHA. Here's what you'll need!

I actually took just one of my used makeup foams which I don't use for my face anymore. I took a scissor and started cutting it out like a pie - just a small piece for this tutorial. :) If you have unused makeup foams, make use of them now!

Do you find the photos helpful? Ombre Nails is achieved by mixing two shades of one color. It becomes much prominent if you use a lighter shade and a much darker shade. The middle part must look faded to achieve ombre effect. So I suggest you guys dab more on the tips than on the middle part  - dab gently on the middle part so it doesn't look too saturated. Then voila~ you now have your very own ombre nails without breaking the bank! <3 You can try out other colors too - orange and yellow looks really promising :)

If you decide to do this at home, please let me know by tagging me on Instagram or on Twitter so I can share it to my readers too :)) Got any questions? Then please leave one on the comment section. Thanks loves! <3 I'll have more tutorials soon so be excited!
