Hello again my lovely friends! I've been out for the whole weekend for my late Summer trip with my workmates and I'm super excited to show you all the photos of our trip to Dakak Beach Resort at Taguilon, Dapitan City. It was so much fun and a little exhausting at the same time but I had the best experience there - the food, the sights, everything! We traveled for almost 6 hours from Zamboanga to Dapitan using 2 private vehicles. I felt queasy and nauseated half the time so I just slept throughout the travel. (I hate long travels on land >.<) We arrived there by 6am and rested first. And then we started the fun! Check out our photos:
The morning and afternoon of Day 1 was a bit too slow and sad because of the rain. We weren't able to do a lot of things except for have lunch at the Bamboo Restaurant which is by the shoreline. After lunch, it begun to rain until late in the afternoon. When it ceased, we hurried and went down to the pools! :)

In the evening, we decided to travel to Dapitan City and eat at their local restaurant - Kamayan ni Manay and boy did we have a feast! We had a lot of seafoods which was my fave. After dinner, we headed to the nearby Gloria de Dapitan's Fantasyland - there was a lot to see and experience in there but I guess I wasn't relieved yet from the nausea I had during the travel so I only got to try the Galleon and the rest I spent my time taking photos and looking at souvenir shops. Hehe :)

Morning of the next day was spent for a breakfast buffet at the Tai Restaurant - it was another feast yet again and I enjoyed my share of spicy chorizos, garlic rice, fresh fruits, ham and etc.
A few minutes right after breakfast, the girls hurried and prepared to take on the Zipline and Horseback Riding! It was the most awesome experience of all, because we got to try the 1.3km long Zipline and breathe in the exhilarating view of the island. Ahh! I would do it all again! Horseback riding was also fun because back in Zamboanga City, I really didn't get to try riding a horse. I was too afraid! Hahaha :) So it was a lot like facing my fears that day.
Before we checked out, we took advantage of the remaining time and went to swim at the beach and had a photo op with the jetskii. (Hello, we meet again!).
As we headed home, we visited the Rizal Shrine and bought souvenirs from there, we also had cakes and coffee at Café Isabel, Dipolog. It was another long drive home and I slept most times because the days' activities were super exhausting. Would love to go back to Dakak just for some R&R. :)

ReplyDeleteI've been hearing good things about Dakak even many, many years ago. Anyway, I hate it when it rains while I'm in a beach resort. Good thing though you guys still got to enjoy after :) And wow for your upcoming post-summer outing.

I've been to Dapitan though during my high school years and had such a grand time. You look sooo purtty in your yellow outfit. Now I'm feeling homesick hehe xx Donah
ReplyDeleteI travelled recently too, and man I hate car rides. Just unpleasant and it takes all of your energy so that when you arrive you waste time being lazy and wanting to sleep. :(
