15-Minute Beauty Emergency Miracle

Thursday, September 12, 2013

We know a girl goes through a fashion emergency at least once her life, but have you thought about being in a beauty emergency? Say you’re out for the night at a party and you got stuck in a friend’s house. Surely your purse must contain your favorite women’s fragrance to freshen you up or some breath mints to keep that nasty after-drinks-breath away.

Admit it or not, it’s common you don’t always have the luxury of time to bathe or do full makeup when you’re in an emergency. That’s why we’ve come up with a 15-minute beauty and hygiene routine when the need arises.

• Toothbrush and toothpaste - Whether you just came from a party or you had a real life emergency and found yourself assisting someone at the hospital, it’s a must to always bring a toothbrush and a toothpaste to keep your teeth and tongue clean. Although breath mints or a bottle of mouthwash is easier to carry, nothing beats the instant fresh breath you get when you brush your teeth. As soon as you can find a bathroom, brush your teeth. Time spent: 3 minutes.

• Face wash - A little bottle of face wash can easily remove oil and dirt which accumulated your face overnight. Make sure you bring this anywhere you go for that instant fresh look. Wet face, lather, and rinse. Time spent: 3 minutes.

• Loose powder - When you’re faced with an emergency, of course you don’t have enough time to wash your hair and keep your scalp clean. A tip from Angelina Jolie: apply loose powder on your hair particularly on the scalp to keep the shine away and to get a little bit of volume. Time spent: 3 minutes

• Hair Elastic - Not everyone is blessed with a straight, shiny hair. Most of the time, it’s going to be dry and frizzy, especially when you applied hairspray to set your curls. Hair elastic keeps your hair in place. Finger comb your hair, tie it up in a pony or try the messy bun. Time spent: 2 minutes.

• Compact powder - For an instant shine-free face and to keep your facial skin tone flawless, a compact powder becomes a girl’s best friend. Never mind those puffy eyes or your skin’s redness - they can all be concealed momentarily with a compact powder. Time spent: 1.5 minutes.

• Colored lip balm or stain - In an emergency, you need a dose of color even without gearing into full makeup mode. The best way to look blooming is to add some color to your lips with a colored lip balm or stain. We recommend Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm in Passionfor that instant long lasting color without drying your lips. Time spent: 2 minutes.

• Fragrance - When faced with a beauty emergency, of course you don’t have ample time to hit the shower. The best way to smell fresh and eliminate any scent of liquor, cigarette, or just any unwanted odor is to spray some fragrance. If you’ve women’s fragrance samples, that’s much better because these samples are usually small and handy and easy to carry. Spray or dab the fragrance under your earlobes, on your cleavage or on your wrist for that great smell the morning after. Time spent: 30 seconds.
